Welcome! This first page is dedicated to general photos of the car from new to now. Page two is for modifications and page three contains detailed technical specifications and additional information regarding modifications. Thanks for stopping by and please don`t hesitate to comment.
This is my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. It is the mid-level GLS trim with the 2.7 liter V6 engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission with the Tiptronic. She joined our family on October 30, 2004 and I plan to have her for many more years. As a kid, my parents always named their cars so I found it fitting to give my car a name. I finally picked the name `Joo-Eun` which is Korean for `Silver Pearl`.
Right now I`m just about where I want to be in terms of modifications. The mods I`ve done are simple and mostly inexpensive.
Please note that in May, 2008, I replaced my license plates with a different style. Hence, there may be some continuity errors in that department. Don`t worry, this is all my car.
I took these pictures in November of 2004 about a month after purchase but before I got her license plates. Note the ski rack so the interior can be kept clean when I hit the slopes.
My Santa Fe has the 2.7 liter V6 and mind you, it`s probably one of the cleanest! The engine puts out 173 horsepower and she`s not blazingly fast but can get me close to 20 mpg in the city.
I think one of the Santa Fe`s best aspects as far as its interior is concerned is the fact that the seats are so comfortable. Plus, I like how thick the steering wheel is.
Though the Santa Fe is classified as a small SUV, I think its interior is certainly worthy of mid-size credentials. The back seat has to be one of the largest in its class.
Here are some newer pictures taken in January and February of 2006. This is one of my personal favorites of all the pictures of my car.
Taken on 5/12/2006 fresh off a wax job. I like this picture a lot.
And here is a December 9th, 2006 photo from up at Timberline Ski Resort on Mount Hood. Here, she`s sporting her winter shoes, a ski rack, and a winter mountain parking pass on the windshield.
This photo was taken shortly before dusk on July 24, 2007. It is one of my favorite photos of the car and I almost think it looks like it should belong in a brochure...not tooting my own horn, of course.
Here are some more recent photos showing off the tint I had applied to the front windows in September, 2008. The keen eye will also notice the Hyundai Genuine mud guards on the front and rear. That`s a story for another day, however...
Move on to picture two to see the modifications page!
